This product did everything I had expected. Cox cable had no available option to control their remote control/cable box that is stored in enclosed spaces. I was able to control my Cox Cable Box that was stored in a closet with other electronic devises. I would recomend charging to full capacity before use.
I couldn't be happier with it. The battery has been in the remote for two months and haven't had to charge it yet.
I wanted to control the dvr from upstairs in the living room. The remote control for the dvr had other than aa or aaa batteries which the Next Gen uses so I bought a learning remote at Wal Mart, learned all the functions from the dvr remote intoit, and put the Next Gen batteries in the learning remote.
I have security cameras in my home with the dvr being in the basement. Simple to set up.
Presto, works greatfrom all over the house. Was the perfect solution.
Works like its in the same room. Dave in Kansas
I've used many remote extenders before and this one is by far the best I've used. Not only does it have a fantastic range. I does not have an external transmitter sitting by the television. Since it is all self contained it looks great.I'm using it with a Verizon Fios HD-DVR going between floors and multiple walls to about 30 feet and it works great.I highly recommend this product to anyone.Enjoy.
So not only can I control the FIOS box from downstairs, I was able to get that big FIOS box off my desk too. I did notice that using it IR signal at the same time as the RF signal sometimes caused interference and the commands didn't register.
I had my Verizon FIOS cable box on my desk next to my computer and wanted a way to send the TV signal downstairs to my exercise room in the basement. Next Generation Remote Control Extender:I watch TV on my computer.
This works perfectly through several walls for about a total distance of 35 feet. Running the COAX was easy, but running back upstairs to keep changing channels was not the exercise I was looking for.
Being able to control the FIOS box from downstairs is fantastic. I solved that by putting the FIOS box in my closet out of sight.
This is a great product and highly recommended.
the list goes on. I simply want to say that I have purchased both inexpensive extenders in this price range (two triangles - one inside cabinet with equipment to send, one outside on table to receive) as well as expensive ones (multiple small, wired sensor buds which attach to various equipment in cabinet and all lead to one sensor mounted outside cabinet somewhere). This thing has enough reviews that I don't see the need to go into detail. It's simple and it just works. This remote extender works better than any in it's price range and as well as the expensive ones. Not to mention the ease of installation, lack of wires. Whew. When's the last time you could say that about a product.
